Guests are welcome to call their own Grab taxis. Taxis: We dont have control over what the locals charge for taxis. We dont have enough guests yet to justify dinner opening time. Restaurant not open for dinner: Clearly advertised on our website. We are sure this did not come as a surprise to you. Location and beach: This has been commented about and is advertised in many places on our website and the net. As long as guests behave, they are welcome. We dont have control over the looks of the guests staying around the pool and we dont have a standard definition on what you define as a cronie, sorry. Would I stay there again? No, even with a better room, the location was not great. The view from the pool area was nice (but from the room was not). The double bed was (conspicuously) two beds pushed together No safe in the room! Good things: The wifi was pretty good. Generally quite old decor (inc lights, power, toilets etc). Even with all the lights on and during the day I could hardly see how to make a cup of tea. Would you like something in between? Never mind. Serenity Room specific things: The shower alternated between scalding hot and freezing cold. The hotel took a deposit on check in with a card. Not many Grabs - taxi mafia controlling the gate. You could walk up on the dual carriageway to a nearby coffee shop, or dice with death and cross it, to a nice Thai cafe opposite. Why can't they just put the actual price! Location, nothing around. One of my pet hates, the menu prices excluded tax and service charge. No evening food anywhere at the hotel, 6pm close. At lower tide you could get down to a sandy patch. Hotel things: Mixture of residents and tourists, local resident cronies hanging around the pool etc. ![]() I think the room type does effect the stay - my review relates to the "Serenity room" type which is supposed to be an upgrade from the "palm" room. I stayed at the Serenity in the covid aftermath time.
